    LAM AGM 2022

    Our AGM took place on Tuesday, 1st November 2022 at 'The Warren'.

     

    Mark Barling receives Observer of the Year award

     

    Main points from the meeting:

    • Approx. 20 LAMkins in attendance.
    • It had been a successful year since the last AGM with twenty two test passes, of which thirteen were F1rsts.
    • The Group had been able to return to a more flexible arrangement for running Group meetings.
    • The IAM are requiring that all Local Observers become National Observers by 1st April, 2025.
    • The Group holds funds of approximately £38k and making an allowance of £10k to cover our fixed costs for 12 – 18 months, we have ‘surplus funds’ of approximately £28k.
    • The elected post holders of the Committee were returned to post unopposed.
    • The remaining existing Committee members would also all continue in post.

     

    • The Associate of the year was announced by Steve Davis as Samuel Dye.
    • The Observer of the year award was announced by Steve Davis as Mark Barling.
    • Trevor Ambrose announced that as only ten votes had been received for the Brian Bennett Memorial Trophy, it was felt that an award should not be made this year.
