    • Do you have a problem getting an Observed Ride at a Group meeting?
    • Unsure where to find our online shop?
    • Confused by the booking process?

Here are the answers to a few frequently asked questions that may help you.

How can I get an OR at a Group Meeting?

Go to our shop and book a place at either Banstead or Tatsfield

When I try to book an OR in the shop at a Group Meeting, it always seems to be ‘sold out’.  How can I get a place?

If the Group Meeting is ‘sold out’ you can sign up to be notified when places are available.  Click on 'email me when available', pop in your email address and click on 'email me when available' again. You will automatically receive an email should a place become available.

If you receive a ‘back in stock notification’ but when you go to the shop it’s sold out, it means you were too slow and all the places have gone! You need to sign up to be notified again when places are available and be a bit quicker to respond next time. OR places are in high demand.

Why are all of the Group Meetings often showing as ‘sold out’ for the whole year?  Two reasons:

    1. The next Group meeting will be showing as ‘sold out’ because all of the available places have been booked.  As more Observers sign up, more places are made available which is why you need to sign up for ‘back in stock’ notifications to be advised when that happens.
    2. Future Group Meetings are showing as ‘sold out’ and will not be made available to book until the previous Group Meeting has finished.  Despite that, you can still sign up for ‘back in stock’ notifications for all events showing and be notified immediately there's availability.

I can’t attend at the twice monthly Group Meetings. Can I have an OR outside of the Group Meetings?

Yes, but only if you really can’t attend a Group Meeting.  Please be considerate as we try and reserve these Appointment-Only-OR’s for Associates who have to work weekends or shift work. Places for these are extremely limited.  You can make a request through the shop on our website and we will contact you to review the needs of your case and if we can find an Observer available.

I have arranged an OR direct with an Observer. How can I make a voluntary donation?

You can make a payment through the shop. If you ever forget the link, you can find it by typing ‘Appointment’ into the search box on the top line of any page of the website.

Why is there a booking system? Why can’t I just turn up on the day of a Group Meeting?

We have a booking system so that we can match OR's to the number of Observers available.  This means that we can be confident of achieving a 1-2-1  OR ratio, which gives a better learning experience for both the Associate and the Observer.

The Group Meeting is ‘open’ in Tracker and I can see the names of Associates that have signed up.  Why is there a message telling Associates not to sign up in Tracker?

The Group Meeting is ‘open’ in Tracker so that Observers can sign up.  As Observers sign up, places are made available in the shop.  The Associates’ names that are showing have been put there by the Organiser following their booking a place through the shop.  Signing up in Tracker without booking a place through the shop will not achieve anything.  It won’t mean that you will get an OR if you turn up or give you any priority over others.
