'Thumbs Up For Driving And Riding!' campaign

One way of getting involved is by purchasing merchandise. These can be given away at local events or initiatives to help spread the campaign message or, where appropriate, sold to IAM RoadSmart members, their friends, family and the local community to help raise funds. Although the campaign launches in August, we want to start making the public aware of the campaign as soon as possible. This was specifically designed for groups, providing the reasoning behind the campaign and how members can get involved. It would mean a lot to us if all of you could get behind us at this exciting time.As you are all aware, the ‘Thumbs Up For Great Driving and Riding!’ campaign will be launching on Wednesday 1 August until, and concluding, Friday 31 August. This is an exciting new initiative which we hope will encourage all road users to demonstrate courtesy to one another. To make this campaign a success, we need your help. Will over 190 groups nationwide, we have a great chance to spreading the message throughout the UK and making our voices heard.

We also encourage those of you to use social media as a way of spreading the message and getting our voices heard. Social media is a huge tool to reach people of all ages from all over the country. In addition to this, it’s a great way of connecting with other organisations and encouraging them to support the campaign.

We have created a Thunderclap page, this is an online platform that helps people be heard by saying something together. It allows a single message to be mass-shared, flashmob-style. Please support us!

The IAM RoadSmart strategy group and trustees committed a great deal of time to develop this campaign and we cannot wait to get it up and running. We look forward to seeing your involvement to help make it a success – so let’s all give a ‘Thumbs Up For Great Driving And Riding!’
