How to book an OR

To guarantee an OR at a Group Meeting, please book via the web shop so that we can organise our scarce Observer resources in advance.

Please note, you must have completed at least 150 – 200 miles since your last OR, practising the training points raised in your ride report. By the way, commuting miles don’t count!

If the Group Meeting is sold out, add your name to the waiting list and you’ll automatically receive an email should an Observer become available. It’s the ‘first come, first served’ to grab a place.

Once you buy the Group Meeting OR in the shop, you are committed to attend. You will not receive any further emails unless we have a problem with the booking. You will not be refunded for cancellations within 48 hours of the meeting date, unless we can sell your place to another Associate. ‘No shows’ will not be refunded, except in exceptional circumstances.

If you've booked an OR through our shop and can’t make it, please let the Event Organiser know.

You can sign up to attend on Tracker. However, this doesn’t guarantee you an OR on the day. Observers are volunteers and their availability is not guaranteed.

If you just turn up on the day, you're unlikely to be offered an OR. However, where possible we will try to pair you with an Observer (subject to availability) or organise a group ride, led by a Full Member. When you arrive, please remember to make your donation to support the club and the work we do. Contactless donations may also be made on the day or come with the correct amount of money (£12.00) to minimise the handling of cash.

Reminder - bring your Advanced Rider Course Logbook.

As usual, we’ll gather for tea, coffee and butties from 09.30 with allocations being announced at 10.00 and OR's starting thereafter.
