Joining LAM
To join LAM you must purchase the IAM's Skill for Life package.
Please remember to quote LAM's group number, 2179, in your application.
Subscriptions
When you join the IAM Skill for Life programme (including LAM and IAM membership), £31 of the cost is returned to LAM. As an Associate you only need to pay LAM's membership fee again if you go over a year's membership without passing the IAM test.
Of course, we hope that you will continue to take advantage of LAM's training and social scene as a Full Member after you pass your test.
The cost of a year's subscription to LAM is currently:

The difference in price between Members and Associates reflects the cost of providing training venues and facilities.
LAM subscriptions run from April 1st to March 31st the following year. A single renewal date is easier to handle (the database secretary is also a volunteer) than having different dates for all members. Most motorcycle training is done outside the winter months, so you don't lose much if you join after April. Those joining near the start of the 'winter' period (though it must be stressed that LAM trains all year round) get the next full year free. If you join after October 1st, your membership will last not to March the following year but to March the year after...plenty of time to reach Test standard.
